Twilight Contemporary Gallery presents Chair #1, a group exhibition where sixteen contemporary artists reimagine the classic bentwood chair.

The show explores form, narratives, and material, highlighting the creative possibilities of a familiar object through diverse artistic practices.

WAX Atelier is proud to present a new artwork – Siblings, made at our Walthamstow workshop using beeswax and materials left over from our candle production waste.

The original bentwood chair became our life model, inspiring a second form. One chair is the source, the other its echo. Using cotton wick dipped in beeswax and wax-welded joints, we reconstructed the chair, and reinterpreted the floral motif of the seat into a looser, more energetic pattern that evokes movement, memory, and transformation.
