WAX Atelier re-visits traditional techniques ranging from candle dipping to crafted textiles, using natural wax.
We stand at the intersection of craft, design and the circular economy.

WAX Atelier reimagines traditional craft techniques, from candle dipping to textile making, through the use of natural wax.
Founded in London in 2017 by multidisciplinary designers Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault-Picazo, WAX Atelier specialises in handcrafted, one-of-a-kind wax products and beeswax candles, with sustainability at the core of everything we do.
We are continually inspired by the unique properties of natural wax: its versatility, tactile quality, and ability to be reshaped and adapted.
This remarkable material encourages us to push the boundaries of craft and design, offering endless opportunities for reuse, reinvention, and creative exploration.
What is a natural wax?
Natural waxes come from plants, trees, and animals with little to no chemical processing. Used for thousands of years, they are gentle, safe for health, and biodegradable, making them a natural alternative to synthetic waxes.
Our Ethos
We prioritise sourcing local materials whenever possible. Our beeswax is sourced from the UK and Europe, working closely with beekeepers to obtain it as a by-product of honey production.
Many of the plant waxes we use, including green tea, orange peel and sunflower, are by-products of the food and beverage industry. Others, such as rose, jasmine and other floral waxes, come from the perfumery sector.
